OrrVilla Retirement Community on Tuesday, March 11, at 7:00 p.m., as Dr. Ron and Linda Sprunger present a musical program and lead a sing-a-long of favorite hymns, golden oldies and Broadway show tunes. Ron is a Professor Emeritus at Ashland Seminary where he taught worship design, hymnology, and other church music-related courses from 1988-2003. Linda assisted with her husband’s work, serving as director of ensembles and accompanist for the Chapel Choir directed by Ron. Although their specialty is playing and writing for piano and organ, they frequently combine piano and synthesizers. The pair has long been involved in weekend ministry in area churches by providing leadership in worship through music. Performances at OrrVilla are free and open to the public, and take place in the retirement community’s Maple Terrace assisted living facility at 333 E. Sassafras St., Orrville. OrrVilla is a non-profit retirement community with both assisted and independent living accommodations allowing a maintenance-free lifestyle for senior adults 62 and older.
