Those driving the roads of Tuscarawas County during this Christmas season may see an unusual site – a live, fully lit and decorated 7 foot Christmas tree riding in the bed of a white pickup truck. Ron Feller, Jr. is celebrating the season in a highly visible way, and plenty of people have been noticing. “I am doing this just because I’m in the Christmas spirit. I’ve always wanted to do this, so I put a Christmas tree in the back of the truck,” explained Feller. “It took me a couple of hours to put together, but I wanted to. I even took it down the freeway going 70 miles an hour, and it held up great. There have been horns honking, people taking pictures, everything. People flash their lights and call out their windows when I drive by. It is just great.” Feller’s tree is the real deal. “I cut my tree from out on our family farm,” he noted. “I am going to keep the tree on the truck until New Year’s day. I will drive it back and forth to my job at Atwood Yacht Club every day until then.” ‘Tis the season.
