The Gift of Health

(Teaser) The holidays are rapidly approaching and many of us are still searching for that perfect gift, whether it’s a smartphone, a Lego set or sweater. But one of the most precious gifts of all can’t be bought in a store—the gift of health. Wooster Community Hospital provides many opportunities for community members to improve their health in the coming year, from support groups to HealthPoint memberships to nutrition education. They also offer a free gift to anyone age 50 and over in the form of their Senior Partners membership program. Senior Partners receive discounts, low-cost services such as blood flow screening and flu shots, and access to free transportation services. A quarterly newsletter and monthly dinner program keep them abreast of the latest hospital and health news. Senior Partners now boasts nearly 8000 local members. “People who are Senior Partners are passionate about it,” said WCH Marketing and Public Relations Manager David Rhoad. Comments at a recent dinner program attested to this fact. “I highly recommend it to anyone,” said Pat Hall. “We’ve learned early in life to take advantage of opportunities to learn all we can about our health. It makes you feel more comfortable if you do have to face one of these procedures in the future.” For more information on the Senior Partners program, call 330-263-8462 or visit www.woosterhospital.org.
