When you work on a project such as this it is truly humbling to see how many people and the cooperation amongst those people required to make it successful, said David Troyer, President of the Troyer Corp. With as much energy thats already been put into this project, it is amazing we are only at the beginning.
The hotel will encompass 3.5 acres with 10 acres remaining to be developed at a later time. We are talking to different companies but have no commitments yet, said Troyer. We will eventually have a gas station, restaurant and retail development here.
Dover Mayor, Richard Homrighausen said,I have been involved with this project with the Troyer Family for five or six years. We are finally at the place where we can start digging some dirt. Its been a long time coming. I know this is going to be done right because thats the way the Troyers do it.
Homrighausen thanked the Troyer family for choosing to do business in the city of Dover.
State Representative of the 96th District, Al Landis said, To the Troyer family, thank you for your investment in the 96th District. Thank you for your investment in Tuscarawas County and most importantly, thank you for your investment in Dover. This speaks highly of your organization and the cooperation of our county commissioners and the management team in the City of Dover.
I know the importance of entrepreneurship and private ownership. Our growth in Ohio is not going to come from the public sector. Its going to come from folks like you willing to invest and commit to our area, said Landis.
The Country Inn & Suites is a perfect complement to our existing Comfort Inn on this site, said Troyer. Both are key components to our long term vision for the property and will serve as anchors as we grow.
