On Saturday, Aug. 12, the Christian Children's Home of Ohio and Mid-Ohio Corvette Club will host Cruisin' for the Kids. This is the 14th year MOCC has sponsored this event for the children of CCHO.

Corvettes from all generations will be on display, starting at the Wooster Nazarene Church, 3100 Oak Hill Road, Wooster. Registration at this location will begin at 9 a.m. Following breakfast, they will depart on a preplanned route through Wayne County countryside, ending up at the campus of CCHO, 2685 Armstrong Road, Wooster.

MOCC plans to provide the traditional lunch of fair-style chicken, hot dogs and all the usual accompaniments. The traditional car show has the kids as the judges. A basket auction with items donated by businesses, community members, MOCC and associated Corvette clubs will benefit the kids as well. "Racetrack thrill rides" will be given to the children in Corvettes, and other activities developed with the focus on the kids at CCHO also will be featured.

This event continues to provide support to CCHO and all the faith-based services and facilities it provides to children in need.

There is no entry fee, but donations for CCHO are appreciated. All Corvette owners are welcome to attend.

Mid-Ohio Corvette Club was founded in 2006 and was incorporated into East Ohio Region as MOCC in January 2007.

New members are welcome to visit monthly meetings held the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster.
