Central Christian to host annual auction on March 8
The Central Christian School Annual Auction will occur Saturday, March 8 at 9 a.m. in the CCS gymnasium. The annual online auction opened Friday, Feb. 28 and will close March 7.
“The annual auction is a highlight of the year for our Central Christian School community,” said Nate Holton, superintendent at CCS. “It’s a time when generosity, fellowship and shared commitment to our students come together in a truly special way.
“We are grateful for the countless supporters who make this event possible and for Joseph Mast, a CCS alumnus, and the incredible team at RES Auction Services, whose expertise and energy create an engaging and exciting atmosphere. Every purchase directly supports our Fair Balance Fund, ensuring that a Christ-centered education remains accessible to all families.”
The live event will begin March 8 at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast in the CCS cafeteria, provided by and benefiting the CCS basketball teams. The live auction will open at 9 a.m. and conclude at 11:30 a.m. Silent auction items also will be available.
The auction will feature a variety of items, experiences and services in many price ranges such as gift certificates, tools, appliances, Cleveland Browns tickets, Ohio State University football tickets, a coffee brewing and tasting experience for six people, a Hocking Hills cabin vacation, a whole home duct cleaning and more. The auction also will include a new Ventrac 4520P tractor with an MS600 60-inch finish mower.
A kids-only auction will allow children to bid on items curated for young children and families. Items will include toys, games and more.
CCS completed renovation and expansion of its cafeteria, kitchen and concessions area, which includes a warm-up kitchen. CCS’s “Forward in Faith” campaign looks to expand the elementary school wing as student enrollment continues to grow, with CCS welcoming more than 50 new students this school year.
