Foundation card party to benefit the Dover City Park
The Dover Community Parks Foundation card party fundraiser is planned for Saturday, April 20.
The Dover Community Parks Foundation card party fundraiser is planned for Saturday, April 20 at Faith and Fourth on the corner of Fourth Street and Wooster Avenue in Dover. Doors will open at 11 a.m. The cost is $15 per person and includes lunch. Call Bev Smith at 330-827-2230 for any card party questions.
Community members who are interested in supporting the event but unable to attend in person or have limited time to attend are encouraged to either purchase raffle tickets ahead of time from any board member or stop in and bid on the more than 20 donated silent auction items the day of the event.
Donated raffle items include an iPad and a 55-inch Amazon Fire Smart TV. Raffle tickets are $20 for 15 chances.
Foundation President Doug Peterman said he is looking forward to a fun and productive year from the board. “We have events planned throughout all of the seasons and are continuing to build momentum for our Park Foundation,” he said.
Two additional fundraising events also are planned for the year. The first Dover Community Parks Foundation Golf Scramble is scheduled for Wednesday, June 5 at Oak Shadows golf course. The second annual October-themed event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12 at Dover City Park.
