The 12th annual Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, benefiting the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, will be held on Sept. 17 from 5:30-9 p.m. at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton.

Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame brings together nearly 700 community members committed to supporting local hunger-relief efforts. The event creates awareness regarding the issue of hunger in the food bank’s eight-county service area while raising funds to continue its fight against hunger.

Guests will enjoy food and beverages from more than 20 local restaurants, breweries and wineries and will vote for their favorite dish, crowning the People’s Choice award winner while bidding on silent and live auction items.

They also will have the opportunity to mingle with Hall of Famers dressed in their gold jackets: Mike Haynes, Jerry Kramer, Billy Shaw and Roger Wehrli. The players will sign autographs throughout the evening.

“Year after year Taste of the Pro Football Hall of Fame brings together the food bank’s most avid supporters in an evening filled with food, fun and football. It’s a unique way to engage and connect with our community members dedicated to fighting hunger locally while serving as the food bank’s largest fundraising event,” said Dan Flowers, president and CEO of the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. “This event provides the exciting opportunity to meet and speak with legends of the game while supporting the food bank’s vision of a thriving community free of hunger.”

The event will again take place on the North Concourse of Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium. Guests can peruse the museum and gift shop and purchase an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium.
