The Summer Used Book Sale will feature thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library as well as audio-visual items such as books on tape, DVDs, CDs, video tapes and cassettes.

                        

The Summer Used Book Sale will be held Thursday, July 12 through Saturday, July 14 at The Book Cellar, located in the basement of the Operations Center of the Wayne County Public Library at the corner of North Market Street and Larwill Avenue in Wooster.

Thursday and Friday’s sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday’s sale will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday evening will be Member Preview Night. Saturday will be Bag Day: all the books participants can stuff in a paper grocery bag for $5.

Sponsored by the Wooster Friends of the Wayne County Public Library, the summer sale features thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library along with audio-visual items such as books on tape, DVDs, CDs, video tapes and cassettes.

Children accompanied by an adult will receive a coupon for one free book. Prices will range from a quarter to $1.25 for adult books and 25-50 cents for books for children and young adults. The shelves will be packed with good books ranging from general fiction to sci-fi, to mystery, to romance, both in papercover and hardback. Nonfiction works will include health and wellness, history, business, religion, and biography. In addition the sale will include a large number of juvenile fiction and nonfiction and children’s picture books and easy readers.

Proceeds from the Summer Used Book Sale will be used to benefit the Wayne County Public Library to better serve its patrons. Free parking will be available at the Zion Lutheran Church across the street.
