The “Healthcare Trojan Horse” conference will address and clarify common misunderstandings associated with living wills, healthcare agents, DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) documents, etc. It will raise awareness of processes in place within the healthcare system which intend to persuade individuals to limit their choices based on economics rather than individual wishes. The conference is meant for everyone and will enable participants to make informed decisions in this new era of health care. Speakers at the conference include executive director of Life Is Worth Living, Inc. Julie Grimstad, Dr. Loren Kirchner MD, writer Ione Whitlock and executive director and founder of Catholic Hospice of Pittsburgh Dr. Cristen Krebs. “Healthcare Trojan Horse” is sponsored by Wayne-Holmes Right to Life and Pro-Life Healthcare Alliance, a division of Human Life Alliance and will be Saturday, May 17 at Grace Church, 4500 Burbank Rd., Wooster from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration for the conference begins at 8 a.m. Nursing professionals will earn seven continuing education units for attending.
