Cleveland Clinic surgery center ranked among nation’s best
Cleveland Clinic’s Wooster Milltown Specialty and Surgery Center recently was named one of America’s Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2021 by Newsweek magazine.
Wooster Milltown Specialty and Surgery Center received the highest ranking in Ohio and one of the highest in the country on Newsweek’s list.
“It consistently receives very high patient satisfaction scores, due in large part to the way the entire staff works together as a team to ensure safety and offer individualized care,” said Brenda Welch, Ph.D., RN, NE-BC, Cleveland Clinic regional operations director. “We are able to deliver a very personal touch including reaching out to patients to help them prepare before their procedures and then follow up to see how they are doing afterward.”
The facility, located at 721 E. Milltown Road, Wooster, provides patients a safe and convenient location for necessary and elective surgeries such as endoscopies and colonoscopies, orthopedic procedures such as treatment of carpel tunnel syndrome and cyst removal, bone marrow biopsies, and procedures on the foot.
The Wooster center has adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic by having only one operating room in use at a time, which reduces the number of patients in the facility and allows for more stringent cleaning protocols between cases.
In compiling the list, Newsweek partnered with global research firm Statista. The list highlighted the 400 best centers in the 25 states that have the most facilities.
