A free seminar will be held on Friday, Nov. 2, beginning at 10 a.m. at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, 1980 Lynn Drive in Orrville. This will be the only public Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) presentation in Wayne County. December 7, 2012 is the last day to enroll in a new plan for 2013.
OSHIIP counselors will discuss recent changes to Medicare, the Oct. 15-Dec. 7 Medicare annual coordinated election period, tips on how to enroll for 2013 coverage in a Medicare prescription drug plan (Part D) and/or a Medicare health plan and how to qualify to save an average of $3,900 on prescription drug costs.
Seniors are urged to bring a list of prescription drugs and Medicare card to compare plans for 2013.
