Pomerene nurses to hold 5K and 1-mile fun walk to support Holmes County Humane Society

                        
In honor of Nurses Week, the Pomerene nursing staff will be holding a 5K and 1-mile fun walk at the Holmes County Trail Saturday, May 10. All proceeds from the race will go to the Holmes County Humane Society. All participants are welcome to bring their dogs on a short leash. Participants who bring dogs will also have to sign a waiver before the race. The 5K race will begin at 9 a.m., and participants can register between 8 and 8:45 a.m. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. Walkers do not need to register. Entry fees are $20 for preregistered 5K participants. Participation forms and payment must be received by May 2. Same day registrations for the 5K are $25. All walkers pay $10. Children 5 and under are free. All preregistered paid participants will receive a T-shirt. Shirts will also be handed out to same-day registrants while supplies last. Children 5 and under will not receive a shirt. Prizes will also be awarded to the fastest overall male, fastest overall female and best dressed pet.
