The Aultman Foundation is accepting grant applications Feb. 25 through March 16 from 501(c) 3 nonprofit organizations with projects focusing on health and wellness, education and/or human services. Special consideration is given to proposed projects and services that focus on the underserved, elderly and/or children. Proposed projects or services must impact the communities served by Aultman Health Foundation, which includes Stark, Wayne, Holmes, Carroll and Tuscarawas counties. The Aultman Foundation does not fund individuals, capital campaigns, annual campaigns, foundations, endowments or government entities. Grant guidelines, application cover sheets, budget templates and a complete proposal checklist are available for download at www.aultmanfoundation.org/grant.aspx. Materials can be dropped off to the foundation offices located on the first floor of Aultman Hospital or delivered by postal mail by 5 p.m. March 16. Grants are distributed twice a year. Thirty-six organizations received grants in 2012; a list can be found at www.aultmanfoundation.org. Aultman Health Foundation announced The Aultman Foundation in May 2007 to improve the health of the community using a two-fold process: targeted grant funding to area nonprofit organizations and the acceptance of charitable gifts to the foundation and hospital. Since inception, the foundation has distributed $1 million in grants.
