Rosemary Triplett earned a prestigious award, the Recovery Discovery Pin, from Body Recall, Inc., after showing a group of Merry Hatters her ability to go to and rise from the floor using the falls and recovery methods outlined in Dorothy C. Chrisman’s book, Body Recall - A Program of Physical Fitness for the Adult. The program is lead by Gracie Murphy, a certified Body Recall Instructor at JIM’s Place. It is an ecumenical program supported by the Outreach Committee of the New Philadelphia First United Methodist Church. To achieve the award, one must have knowledge of the book, body awareness, control of body movements, and developed strength and flexibility through a commitment to exercise on a regular basis. Rosemary is only the ninth person to receive this award since Murphy started her classes in 1995. Murphy will be conducting an educational session on Body Recall at Malone University for their event called Evergreen on April 8. More information about this day event can be obtained by contacting Tim Pitzer at 330-471-8434 or tpitzer@malone.edu.
