Union Hospital Home Health among the nations elite
Union Hospital in Dover has been named to the 2011 HomeCare Elite, a compilation of the top-performing home health agencies in the United States. Now in its sixth year, the HomeCare Elite identifies the top home health care agencies in the country. Winners are ranked by an analysis of performance measures in quality outcomes, process measure implementation, and financial performance.
Debbie Albaugh, RN, director of Union Hospital Home Health, said achieving elite status is the result of a dedicated staff of home health professionals and a long-term commitment to home care by Union Hospital.
Being ranked among the top 25 percent of the 17,000 home health care agencies in the U.S. is an honor for us and good news for the many patients we serve throughout a four-county area, Albaugh said. This recognition confirms that we provide a high level of home care, meeting our patients needs and helping them live secure and comfortable in their own homes.
Albaugh helped to establish Union Hospitals Home Health Care Department in 1987, and has served as its director ever since. Among the many services offered to patients at home are skilled nursing care, physical and occupational therapy, telemonitoring, home health aides and social services.
Union Hospital Home Health Care is a department of Union Hospital and is located in offices at 300 Medical Park Dr. on the hospital campus in Dover.
