Wooster Community Hospital’s Becky Yoder, RN, has achieved recognition as a lactation consultant. Yoder successfully passed an examination administered simultaneously around the world, open only to certified lactation counselors with at least 1,000 hours of lactation assistance. Yoder’s achievement now gives the Women’s Pavilion at Wooster Community Hospital two lactation consultants on staff. Yoder has six years of critical care nursing, in addition to 20 years of OB nursing and 12 years providing childbirth education classes to thousands of area parents-to-be at Wooster Community Hospital. She also coordinates tours of the Women’s Pavilion at Wooster Community Hospital for parents-to-be who would like to preview the unit. More than 1,000 babies are born each year at Wooster Community Hospital. For more information about meeting with a lactation consultant, childbirth education classes or the Women’s Pavilion, Yoder can be reached at 330-263-5548.
