Wooster Community Hospital to receive healthy worksite award

                        
The Ohio Department of Health will present Wooster Community Hospital with the 2010 Healthy Ohioans-Healthy Worksite Silver Level Award on Friday, Feb. 11, at the Health Action Ohio Columbus Kick-Off Conference. According to Alvin D. Jackson, M.D., director of the Ohio Department of Health, in a letter to the hospital, “This achievement demonstrates your commitment to the health and well-being of your employees. Your company’s exemplary efforts to provide employees with programs that encourage physical activity, better nutrition and the prevention or cessation of tobacco use are to be commended. As you know, these efforts will have far reaching implications not only for the health of your employees, but the health of your business as well.” The hospital has an extensive and innovative employee health and wellness program aimed at achieving impressive results.
