The Our Town Series will continue on Monday, June 17 from 5-7 p.m. at Keim Lumber’s conference center, 4465 state Route 557, Charm.

The program series will continue this year with a historical look at the towns of Charm and Farmerstown. Local experts will share their knowledge and memorabilia, followed by time for the audience to share their stories, myths, legends and more.

This series has become one of the signature programs of the Holmes County Historical Society. The goal was to take history directly into each community so locals could share their local history and become a part of passing history on to future generations. Many positive things have come as a result of this programming. It has sparked pride in communities to write local history books such as “Once Upon a Town – Lakeville” and the Glenmont book, which sold out in less than a month and is in second printing.

People are invited to bring some memorabilia to share. Each of these programs follows the main mission of the Historical Society: “Preserving the Past for the Future.”

The program is free, but donations are accepted.
