Sharon K. 'Sherry' Rummes
Sharon K. “Sherry” Rummes, age 68 of Dundee, died Saturday, July 7, 2018, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia following an extended illness.
Born on March 22, 1950, in Dover, Sherry was the daughter of the late Don and Edna (Haver) Yenni. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Rummes.
Sherry was a longtime member of the Church of God.
Sherry graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1968. She was married to David Rummes, with whom she would have celebrated 47 years of marriage on July 18, 2018. She also will be missed by her son, Chris Rummes (fiance, Ashley Geltz); daughter, Heather (Brian) Gribble; grandchildren, Skyler, Alex, Dylan and Christopher; brother, Bruce Yenni (fiance, Bobbie Jackson); and several close friends and relatives.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, July 10 from 5-7 p.m. A celebration of Sherry’s life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Erik Cremeans officiating. Interment will take place at Dover Burial Park following the service.
