The biannual shoe drive for the Well of Hope organization will be held April 22-27, with drop-off locations at Keim in Charm and Keim Hardware in Mt. Hope.

Donations of used or new shoes can be of any kind as long as they have no holes, are close-toed and have no obvious dirt on them. The donated shoes are collected and sold to local vendors in Kenya, and 100% of the proceeds go to local widows there who, after their husbands die, are often run off their property and left no place for them or their children to live, as well as no way to earn a living. With the funds raised, widows are provided with land, a small house and other support.

On Saturday, May 18, Well of Hope mission founders Nat and Zipporah Kamau will be at Keim in Charm to do a presentation on their organization from 8:30-11:30 a.m. The public is invited.
