Letter to the Editor:

A lot of people have forgotten that the representatives we send to Washington are supposed to be public servants. Their commitment is bound to the people who vote them into office, not to the highest bidder.

That is why I am excited about Ken Harbaugh's run for Congress. He has spent his entire life dedicated to service to our country. He is the son and grandson of Air Force combat pilots. He also is a veteran of the Navy and led reconnaissance missions in the Middle East and off of North Korea.

After his time of service, he became an advocate for military veterans. He went on to become president of Team Rubicon, an aid organization that has trained more than 45,000 military veterans to deploy to natural disasters in the U.S. and around the world.

He also was recognized by the Arena PAC Fellowship and became a member of its inaugural class. He was recognized due to his ability to communicate his story and values with voters as well as build bridges across political parties and ideologies. The Arena believes Harbaugh represents a new generation of authentic leaders who can shift the culture of our politics. After meeting him, I believe you will agree.

We have an opportunity to lead the shift in Washington away from special-interest-driven representation to constituent-driven representation, the way it was always intended.

Let Harbaugh know what is important to you. Visit his website at www.kenharbaughforcongress.com and submit your questions in the Contact Us tab.
