With a lot of thought given and all of the unknowns ahead due to the coronavirus, the Frenette family has canceled the Aimee Frenette Memorial Golf Tournament this year, which is normally held on the last Sunday of June. The Frenettes are grateful to the businesses, individuals and golfers who have been so generous over the past 20 years. The family is hopeful the event can occur in 2021 and be bigger and better.

The funds generated from the annual event are used to endow the Aimee Frenette Rickly Memorial Scholarship administered by the Holmes County Education Foundation and awarded to a West Holmes High School female athlete.

The 2020 scholarship recipient is Callie Cline. She was awarded the $2,400 renewable scholarship and will pursue communication sciences and disorders/speech therapy at Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She was active on the West Holmes High School softball team and received many awards over the years.

Cline is a member of National Honor Society and a member of yearbook committee. She enjoys volunteering her time for the Training Center events such as the Special Athlete Track and Field Day and “A Night to Shine” Prom. She also volunteers for the children’s classes at her church. She has worked at East of Chicago Pizza and for the family tree business.
