Community baby shower to be held
The Tuscarawas County Health Department will host its annual community baby shower on Saturday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at NewPointe Community Church, 3950 state Route 39 NW, Dover.
The event is made possible in part through the sponsorships of Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital and Trinity Health System Twin City Hospital.
All Tuscarawas County new and expecting parents and caretakers with children under the age of 2 are invited to this free community event. Baby shower gifts, prizes, education and community resources will be shared.
This year’s baby shower will be a drive-thru event to ensure guests and volunteers remain safe but can still enjoy the items and resources available.
Guests will be guided throughout the drive-thru, where staff representing various community organizations will be prepared to greet growing families from their cars.
During the baby shower, guests can expect to receive handouts and various educational items for parents and young children, as well as infant items and raffle tickets for large baby shower gifts. The raffle prize drawing will take place live on the Tuscarawas County Health Department’s Facebook page on a future date that will be announced.
“We are looking forward to greeting new and expecting parents and providing them with educational information, small gifts and the chance to win large prizes,” said Abigale Raber, health educator at the Tuscarawas County Health Department. “This is always a fun event, and we are thankful to NewPointe Community Church, our sponsors and all of the participating organizations that make this baby shower possible.”
Registration for the baby shower is encouraged but not required. Visit www.tchdnow.org. Call Abigale Raber at 330-343-5555 ext. 111 or email araber@tchdnow.org.
