Eagles tribute band will wrap up concert series
The summer concert series will wrap up with an Eagles tribute band performing Sunday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. on the stage in front of the court square in downtown Coshocton.
“7 Bridges is one of the top-rated Eagles tribute bands in the country,” said Lanny Spaulding, executive director of Our Town Coshocton. “We’ve heard there are a number of folks coming from even outside of the state to specifically see them. We are always thrilled to have visitors but think this will be a wonderful treat for our community as well.”
According to Spaulding, attendance at the free concerts this summer has been solid.
“Last year the combined attendance at all three concerts was 9,500, and they helped generate $237,500 for the economy,” he said. “We are already at those numbers this year, and we’ve got one more. We’ve had about 10,000 attend and a quarter million dollars spent. These concerts are helping get money spent locally.”
Spaulding believes the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area helps with the concerts.
“The DORA really compliments our entertainment options downtown,” he said. “We just remind people that you have to purchase a beverage from a business with a DORA license and it has to be in the DORA cup. It’s not BYOB.”
People have been respectful during the concert series.
“There has been very little litter,” Spaulding said. “People have been taking care of the court square.”
Our Town Coshocton also is thankful for the support of the county commissioners, city council, the Bechtol Fund at the Coshocton Foundation, Park National Bank and Standard Power for stage sponsorship, numerous corporate sponsors, and Kathy Wagner from Panzyler Entertainment.
“There are a lot of different partners involved in this year’s concerts,” Spaulding said. “The community is better when you work together. As soon as we conclude the series with the concert on the 17th, we will immediately start looking forward to next year.”
