Gardening workshops offered
Heather Pariso will give two workshops at the Dover Public Library March 26 and April 29. The workshops are open to people of all ages and will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at the library.
The first workshop is It’s SOW Easy, a hands-on seed-starting class that will guide participants through the essentials of starting their own garden from seed. During the second workshop, It’s About Thyme, Pariso will talk about the beneficial uses of herbs and show participants how to start their own herb garden.
Pariso, a graduate of Ohio State University and a scholar of the Ohio Florists’ Association, wants to get everyone, especially the younger generation, to get interested in horticulture and the benefits flowers and ornamentals can bring to the world and to them. She provides seminars and hands-on workshops for all ages.
Because Pariso will provide the supplies people will use during the workshop and then take home, there is a charge of $10 per participant to cover the cost. Payment can be made the evening of the class. Register at www.doverlibrary.org/events or call the library at 330-343-6123.
The Dover Public Library is located at 525 N. Walnut St. in Dover.
