Karlo Zuzic, project manager for Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits, will discuss paranormal research and spirit encounters on Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Loudonville Public Library.

                        

The Loudonville Public Library has the following programs scheduled for August. Call the library at 419-994-5531 for more information about any of these programs:

Summer Food Service

Kids age 0-18 can have a free nutritious lunch served in the café while supplies last, Mondays through Fridays through Aug. 11 from noon to 1 p.m. Lunches must be eaten at the library and are provided by the Ohio Department of Education and The Greater Cleveland Food Bank.

Twisted Stitchers

Needle crafters are welcome to attend these events on Tuesdays, Aug. 1 and 15 from 10-11 a.m. in the café. Attendees can bring their current projects, get snacks and share with others. Teachers are in this group for those who want to learn to knit or crochet.

Learn to use the Perrysville Branch Kiosk

Visit the 24-hour library kiosk in Perrysville to sign up for a library card and learn how to use the kiosk on Wednesday, Aug. 2 from 5-6 p.m.; Wednesdays, Aug. 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 10-11 a.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 12 from 10-11 a.m. The kiosk is accessible from the parking lot of the Perrysville Fire Station. Scheduled times will be canceled during inclement weather or if the library is closed.

Pinterest Power

Attendees will make a bottle bird feeder on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 10:30 a.m. Each session is limited to 12. Samples will be displayed in the library and posted on its Facebook page.

Ohio Paranormal with Ohio Researchers of Banded Spirits

Karlo Zuzic, project manager for ORBS, will discuss paranormal research and spirit encounters on Saturday, Aug. 12 at 1 p.m. Zuzic will present photos, videos and audio evidence. ORBS has been featured on Animal Planets series “The Haunted,” Biography Channel’s “My Ghost Story,” History Channel’s “Haunted History,” and Destination America’s two series “Paranormal Survivor” and “Haunted Case Files.”

Book discussion group

This month’s book is “Ask Again, Yes” by Mary Beth Heane. Attendees will get snacks and a discussion with other readers in the Golden Center on Friday, Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk.
