The Norma Johnson Center is hosting an essay contest open to individuals in grades 3-5. Participants are asked to answer the following statement: What should be the Norma Johnson Center mascot and why? The contest will have a 150 word limit. All entries must be postmarked or received by March 3. Entries must state name, school, grade, teachers name, shirt size and contact number. All entries become the property of the NJC. The NJC reserves the non-exclusive right to use all entries in publications or for promotional purposes. Judges will select a first, second and third place winner based on content and thought. All winners will be contacted by phone to make final arrangements for reading of essay. The top three winners will be asked to read their essay during the Norma Johnson Centers Silent Auction and Recognition Program March 25, at St. Johns Church of Christ in Dover. The Norma Johnson Center is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization. The intention of this contest is to highlight the NJC.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three places. First place will receive $30 cash, second place, $20 cash, and third place, $10 cash. All winners will receive a NJC 2010 family membership and Norma Johnson Center T-shirt.
