The Tuscarawas Philharmonic Children’s Chorus will perform a holiday concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9 at the First United Methodist Church, 1725 N. Wooster Ave., Dover. The concert is free. A cookie reception will follow.

The chorus, under the direction of Laura Barkett and with Carolyn Wallace accompanying, will sing a variety of holiday songs. The program will include sacred and traditional tunes, many arranged by Eric Benjamin, conductor of the philharmonic.

Solos will be sung by chorus members Riley Hopkins, Ava Moneypenny, Jordi Kopp Baldich and Kaitlyn Crowell.

Pianist Huntley Brown, who has toured internationally with his music ministry, will perform as a special guest for several songs.

The holiday concert is sponsored by Progressive Foam Technologies, Dover Chemical Corporation, Barbour Publishing, Park Village, ProVia and The Floyd & Doris Kimble Foundation.

The spring semester of the children’s chorus will begin Jan. 7, and details for joining will be available at www.TuscarawasPhilharmonic.org at a later date.
