Property deeds available locally at recorders office

Holmes County recorder Anita Hall has been made aware that people who own property in Holmes County are receiving letters from companies asking them to send large amounts of money to obtain a copy of their property deed. If you are a Holmes County property owner and have received a letter from a company called Local Records Office in Columbus, Ohio, or a company called First Documents in Corona, California, know that you are not obligated to send money to these companies.
If you want a copy of your property deed, call the Holmes County Recorders Office at 330-674-5916 or come into the office at 75 E. Clinton St., Suite 101, Millersburg. Copies are available from the recorders office for 25 cents per page.
