Now in its seventh season, the Sonnenberg Station mens ensemble is preparing for its holiday season concerts. From local churches and even businesses, to neighboring universities and concert halls, they have performed in more than 30 different venues. This years pieces will include many Christmas numbers. The remaining tunes cover the spectrum from international, folk, even comedic opera. This choir consists of 16 men from a three-county area.
Upcoming concerts will be at the Orrville Church of Christ Dec. 5, at 7 p.m., and St. James Episcopal in Wooster on Monday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. Joined by the Central Singing Comets mens ensemble from Central Christian, their concluding concert will be at Kidron Mennonite Church on Sunday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m.
Sonnenberg Station is under the direction of Tim Shue, with Kevin Himes accompanying. Other members include: Bill Seymour, Daniel Raber, Paul Dunn, Toby Hazlett, Matt Yost, Travis Pauli, Gideon Dunster, Kevin Roth, Chris Chamberlin, Chuck Merkle, Nate Gundy, Tim Yoder, Ellis Miller and Winfred Ressler.
