Sandra “Tyke” Bichsel earned her 40-year volunteer award with Mobile Meals of Dover-New Philadelphia in 2020, but with COVID restrictions, the Tuscarawas County nonprofit was unable to have its recognition dinner to celebrate.

“We decided to surprise her with volunteers, board members and her family gathered around,” said Kim Harmon, administrator.
