Agnes Szita obituary

                        
Agnes Szita, 96, of New Philadelphia, died Jan. 21, 2010, at Schoenbrunn Healthcare, New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health. Born June 21, 1913, in Holden, W.Va., Agnes was a daughter of the late George and Anna Szita. She had been active in the New Philadelphia Moose Ladies’ Auxiliary, obtaining the College of Regents, and was an avid bowler who belonged to the Women’s International Bowling Congress for many years. She was a former member of the National Women’s Relief Corps and VFW ladies auxiliary as well. She was Catholic by faith. Surviving are several nephews and a number of great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers, George and Louis Szita; and sister, Margaret Mexin. Private burial was in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution may do so to the Disabled American Veterans.
