Anna J. Fisher

                        
Anna J. Fisher, 80, of Dover and formerly of Harrison County, died Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a brief illness. Born March 6, 1934 in Annapolis, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Charlottie (Cline) Kellar. She was employed at Oak Pointe Nursing Home and Rehab at Baltic until her retirement in 2006. She was a member of the First United Church of Christ at Sugarcreek and a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed listening to books on tape and cooking in her spare time. Anna was a proud and involved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are a daughter, Ruth A. (Ted) Miller of Dover, and a son, John J. (Sandra) Fisher of Barnesville; eight grandchildren, Melissa Guns, Ben Fisher, Brenda Trachsel, Michael Taylor, Tad Miller, Brin Miller, Jennifer Losey and Jeremy Fisher; 12 great-grandchildren, Doug, Zander, Emma and John Guns, Samantha and Paulina Hershberger, Sara Trachsel, Emily and Mary Burgardt, Ashley and Kayla Losey and Kaia Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Douglas W. Fisher and his wife Jackie; two brothers, Charles “Bud” Kellar and his wife Leta, and Samuel Kellar and his wife Betty; two sisters, Virginia Kellar Gross and her husband Walter and Eva Kellar. Funeral services were held Monday, August 4, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the First United Church of Christ at Sugarcreek with Rev. Eric Rummel officiating. Friends called Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the Smith-Varns Funeral Home at 1018 W. Main St., Sugarcreek and one hour prior to services at the church Monday.
