Anthony Joseph “Tony” Weaver

                        
Anthony Joseph “Tony” Weaver, 74, of Uhrichsville passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia after a short illness. Born May 3, 1940 in Coshocton, he was a son of the late Leo Joseph and Isa Mary (Haxton) Weaver. Tony was a 1958 graduate of Saints Cosmas and Damion High School in Punxsutawney, Pa. before earning his bachelor’s degree. A resident of Uhrichsville and member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison since 2004, he had previously resided in Random Lake, Wis. for many years. He was a retired tool and die maker who had worked for American Motors until 1989. In retirement, he spent 14 years traveling throughout the entire 50 states with his wife, driving to each state, including Alaska, except Hawaii. He was an avid music enthusiast and collector. On August 14, 1949, Tony married the former Luella Elaine Hanson with whom he enjoyed nearly 55 years of marriage. He is also survived by sons, James Weaver of N.D., Bruce (Mary) Weaver of Random Lake, Wis., and Christopher Weaver of Cascade, Wis.; grandchildren, Gena, Jamie, James Jr., James and Angel (Robert); eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, David L. (Nova) and James C. Weaver, both of Uhrichsville, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Geneva. Services for Tony, officiated by Father Anthony Lonzo, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home (www.lindseyfh.com) in Dennison from 5-8 p.m. Friday.
