Carl Armbrust obituary

                        
Carl Howard Armbrust, 91, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Rittman, died Jan. 23, 2010. Carl was born May 10, 1918, in Sugarcreek, to the late Daniel and Iva Armbrust, and moved to Rittman, where he had worked at Ohio Boxboard while raising his family. He then moved to Naples, Fla., in 1959. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and loved to go fishing and bowling, as did most of his siblings. He also enjoyed watching football, basketball, and boxing. Surviving are his wife, Mary Armbrust; son, Richard (Lela) Armbrust of Naples, Fla.; daughter, Carla (Ron) Driggers of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Vera McGrath of Dover; brothers, Edward (Leona) Armbrust of Creston and Francis (Elizabeth) Armbrust of Doylestown; brother-in-law, Arthur Schie of Sugarcreek; sister-in-law, Maude Armbrust of Rittman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sisters, Grace, Mary Ann, Bernice, Lucille, and Pauline; and brothers, Palmer and Ray. Memorial graveside services will be held Feb. 12, 2010, at 1 p.m., in Ohio Reserve Western National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman.
