Cora Lee Harsell-Remonda obituary

                        
Cora Lee Harsell-Remonda, 84, of Big Prairie, died quietly Jan. 16, 2010, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, surrounded by her family. Cora Lee was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Palmyra, Mo., to the late George Mitchell and Mary Ellen Boehl. She had been employed as a technician for 11 years at St. Mary Hospital and was later employed for 18 years as a nurse’s aide at Blessing Hospital. She was a member of Union United Methodist Church, Quincy, and attended West Hill Baptist Church, Wooster. Surviving are a daughter, Darlene (John) Roth of Big Prairie; four grandchildren, Wilma (Bob) Hildebrand of Big Prairie, Wanda (Robert) Lane of Polk, twins, Mary (Dan) Bowling of Big Prairie and Morris (Amanda) Roth of Wooster; seven great-grandchildren, Leann (John Zickefoose) Henry, James Henry, Cristy and Nathan Lane, and Cyrus, Selah, and Gabriel Roth; and good friends and caregivers, Pat and Bob Sheely of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Harsell, whom she married in 1946; and her second husband, Leonard Remonda, whom she married in 1989. Services will be held Jan. 23, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery, Quincy, Ill. Calling hours will be Jan. 22, from 4-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
