Dana Trivett obituary

                        
Dana G. Trivett, 83, of Millersburg, formerly of North Ridgeville, died Jan. 22, 2010, at Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, following a long illness. Dana was born in Damascus, Va., and had resided in North Ridgeville for 36 years before moving to Millersburg in 1991. He was a truck driver for Chapin Trucking, North Ridgeville, retiring in 1983 after 17 years of service. He previously worked for Modern Motor Express, Cleveland. After retiring, he worked part-time as a courier for EST Bank. A Korean War veteran, Dana served seven years in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of sergeant, and was a life member of Elyria VFW Post 1079. He was also a member of Teamsters Union Local 571, Lorain, and enjoyed strumming his guitar, fishing, and camping. Surviving are his wife, Bernice M. Trivett; sons, Glenn (Celeste) Trivett of Olmsted Falls, Michael (Donna) Trivett of Millersburg, and Doug and Tom Trivett, both of North Ridgeville; daughter, Karen (Jim) Traut of Columbia Station; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Venia (Richard) Chervinski of Andover, Carolyn (Chuck) Bruce of Elyria, and Fay (Jack) Klovstad of Fort Worth, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rhea; and sisters, Betty Hood and Myrtle Kay Ray. Services were held Jan. 25, 2010, at David Bogner Family Funeral Home, North Ridgeville. Burial was in St. Peter Cemetery, North Ridgeville, where VFW Post 1079 conducted full military honors.
