David “Frank” Williams

                        
David “Frank” Williams, 55, of New Philadelphia, passed away late Tuesday night, June 25, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Frank was born in Pensacola, Fla. June 28, 1957 to Shink and Nancy Kohl Williams who live in New Philadelphia. He graduated from North Canton Hoover High School in 1975. Frank was a life member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18. He worked as a crane operator on construction sites around the area for more than 30 years. Frank raced dirt bikes for a couple years and was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He enjoyed working on his cars, his motorcycles and his tractor. In addition to his parents, Frank is survived by one daughter, Shannon Williams of Tappan Lake; one sister, Amanda (Brian) Mihalcin of North Canton; two uncles, Mike (Pat) Kohl of New Philadelphia and Clayton (Chris) Williams of Gnadenhutten and two aunts, Joyce (Phil) Garrett of Columbus and Dolores (Mel) Cox of Gnadenhutten. Frank is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Helen Kohl and his paternal grandparents, Ruth and Bucky Williams. Services were held at 11 a.m. in the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church in Gnadenhutten on Friday, June 28, 2013 with Rev. Darrell Johnson officiating. Burial followed in the Gnadenhutten-Clay Union Cemetery. Calling hours were held at the Moravian Church on Thursday, June 27, 2013, from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Heckewelder Memorial Moravian Church, 133 S. Walnut St., P.O.
