David W. Miller
David W. Miller, age 55 of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, June 6, 2019, at his residence, following a year-long battle with cancer.
Born Nov. 13, 1963, Dave was one of nine children born to the late Joey B. and Regina H. Aurand Miller.
Dave was a graduate of Brooke High School at West Virginia and earned his CDL to become a semi-truck driver. Most recently he drove tank truck for the oil and gas industry.
Dave enjoyed fishing and cheering on the Cleveland Indians. He loved grilling for his family and spending time with them. He also loved being with his dog, Austin.
Dave is survived by his wife, Tammy, whom he married on Dec. 20, 1996; his children, Kaci (Michael) Miller of Middlebury, Indiana, Samantha (Nathan) Valentine of Chandlersville, Ohio, Aron Miller of Dover and Devin (Jess) Miller of New Philadelphia; his grandchildren, Braydon, D.J., Blake and Cooper; his siblings, Mike (JoAnn) Miller of Wellsburg, West Virginia, Tammy (Dennis) Hamann of Massillon, Gina (Dave) Boyer of Stone Creek, Dale (Amber) Miller of Louisville and Shawn (Joyce) Miller of New Philadelphia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a grandson, Dean, and three brothers, Joey Miller, Larry Miller and Tim Miller.
The family will greet guests one hour prior to a memorial service on Monday, June 10 from 4-5 p.m. in the Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia, where Pastor Brian Flood will lead a 5 p.m. service in the funeral home’s chapel.
