Deb Slayton
Deb Slayton, age 62 of Burbank, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018, at Wooster Community Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Deb was born on Sept. 3, 1955, in Orrville to the late Stephen and Arlene (Forrer) Milford and graduated from Chippewa High School in 1974. She married Dale Slayton, the love of her life, on Sept. 28, 1974, in Orrville. He survives.
Deb was a co-owner with her husband of Dale's Marathon Service in Rittman for 30 years.
During Deb’s wonderful life, she enjoyed spending special time every Sunday with her loving husband. She also enjoyed traveling, bowling, hiking and nature. She loved animals so much that she and Dale were members of the Cleveland Zoological Society.
Surviving in addition to her husband Dale are three sisters, Patti Milford of Akron, Nancy (Mike) Litman of Seville and Beth (Rob) Stalnaker of Hudson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 14 at Auble-Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Drive, Rittman, with Pastor Nick Cleveland officiating.
Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
