Diane Knowles obituary

                        
Diane S. Knowles, 47, of Millersburg, died Jan. 13, 2010, at the Cleveland Clinic, due to complications from leukemia. Diane was born April 21, 1962, in East Liverpool, to Esther E. Lower of East Liverpool and the late Jack E. Lower Sr. Moving to Millersburg in 2000, Diane was CFO for the Killbuck Savings Bank. She was a member of Summa Decum at Beaver Local High School, graduating in 1980, and received an associate degree from Gulf Coast Community College, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in management from Florida State University. She was a member of Bay Leadership in Florida, the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce, and was a former member of Mount Zion Methodist Church. She most recently became a member of the Catholic church. Surviving are her husband, Christopher R. Knowles, whom she married in 1980; siblings, Jack E. Lower Jr. and Linda (Marvin) McKenzie, both of Negley; her mother- and father-in-law, Georgia and Kenneth Knowles of Millersburg; seven nieces and two nephews; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Sherry) Knowles of Florida; and sister-in-law, Denise Sogn of Minnesota. Services were held Jan. 18, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Mount Zion Methodist Church, with Rev. Dr. Lester Hickman officiating. Burial was in Crest Haven Gardens.
