Dorothy Dial obituary

                        
Dorothy Dial, 80, of Glenmont, died Feb. 9, 2010, at the Holmes County Home, Holmesville, following an extended illness. Dorothy was born Sept. 6, 1929, in Glenmont, to the late Wayne and Marjorie Owen. She worked for Rice-Chadwick, retiring in 1993, and was a member of Glenmont Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Penny (Joe) Weaver of Big Prairie; eight grandchildren, Jeanne (Phil) Flinner of Big Prairie, Scott Moore of Killbuck, Michael Moore of Columbus, Joey Weaver, Duke (Jennifer) Marmet, and Karen (Darrell) Hood, all of Glenmont, Charlie (Shelley) Marmet of Howard, and Mindy Marmet of Glenmont; eight great-grandchildren, Errick, Allyson, Douglas, Travis, Brady, Brendon, Gage, and Jack; and sister, Anna Marie Weatherwax of Glenmont. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dial, whom she married in 1960; sons, Rex Marmet and Sam Dial; brothers, Glenn and Edwin Owen; and sisters, Grace Tipton and Ginny Workman. Services were held Feb. 13, 2010, at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Ed Stivers officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Glenmont.
