Ervin Keim

                        
Ervin A. Keim, 92, of Charm, died August 8, 2012, at the Community Hospice House, New Philadelphia, following a three-month illness. For the past 18 months, he had resided with his nephew, Harold (Esther) Keim of New Philadelphia, who cared for him. Born Nov. 22, 1919, in Holmes County, Ervin was a son of the late Albert J. and Lovina Keim. He was a retired farmer and also repaired hydraulic jacks for many years. He was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church. In 1984, he traveled alone to Australia and enjoyed bus tours of the back country. He also enjoyed riding along with his nephew, Harold, in his dump truck as he made his deliveries. Ervin is survived by a sister, Irene Raber of Berlin; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Jonas and Albert Keim; and sister, Mary K. (Maude) Keim. Services were held August 11, at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, with Pastor Dennis Hostetler officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
