He was also a member of the Green Valley Ruritans. George was a longtime member of Conotton United Methodist Church until its closing at the end of 2013, and he enjoyed bowling on the Church League, earning him a place in their Hall of Fame. He was an avid sportsman who loved watching the Buckeyes, NASCAR and especially his favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a stranger to none and a friend to many who will be remembered for his many kindnesses to people and animals. He was a wonderful and loving husband to Mary Ellen (Coryea) McCullough whom he married August 16, 1947. She survives him at their home. He is also survived by two daughters, Sharyn Vallery of Warren and Susan (Rich) Kohler of Bowerston; Tom (Patricia) Hall of Carrollton who was like a son to him; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Standiford, Duane Wilson, Renee (Carlos) Rodriguez, Spencer (Sarah) Wilson, Sarah (Tom) Brocious, Nicole Yosick, Noel (Darrin) Muraski, Andy Yosick, Gabrielle Muraski, Alexander (Deanna) Muraski and Jack Vallery; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond (Genevieve) McCullough of Clarks Mills, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dear feline companion, Runt. Services for George, officiated by Pastor Charles Kettering, were 11 a.m. Monday, April 7, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment followed in Conotton Cemetery.
