Grace Riffer obituary

                        
Grace Lucille Riffer, 96, of Rochester, N.Y., formerly of Apple Creek and Wilmot, died Feb. 2, 2010, at St. John’s Home, Rochester, following a period of declining health. Grace was born June 19, 1913, in Ragersville, to the late Walter F. and Iva Andrews. She was a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and was a teacher at the former Beach City School from 1935-38. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Apple Creek. Surviving are daughters, Nancy J. Boerner of Rochester, N.Y., and Jean Anne (A. Eugene) Kohler of Arnold, Md.; three grandsons, David (Margaret) Boerner of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Mark (Meghan) and Kevin (Kerry) Kohler of Arnold, Md.; a great-grandson, Graham Kohler; brother, Robert W. (Lee) Andrews of Farmerstown; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Riffer, whom she married in 1938; and brother and sister-in-law, John F. and Ruby Andrews. Services will be held Feb. 6, 2010, at 11 a.m., at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Apple Creek, with Pastor Jacqueline McMillen officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Wilmot.
