Harold G. Buff Bowers Jr., 62, of Sugarcreek, died Jan. 9, 2010, at Wade Park V.A. Hospital, Cleveland, from complications following surgery.
Born July 6, 1947, in Lima, Harold was a son of the late Harold G. Sr. and Genevieve Bowers. He was employed as a water conditioning expert with Preferred Pump of Delaware. He attended New Pointe Community Church, Dover, was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a member of the Mansfield Lions Club and Sugarcreek American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Melonie Bowers, whom he married in 1988; daughter, Nikki Bowers of the home; son, Shawn (Brandy) Bowers, who is serving with the U.S. Army in Bagdad; a granddaughter, Aubrey; sisters, Judy Kill of Memphis, Tenn., and Ginny Burden of Lima; and brother, Doug Bowers of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Colin; and brother, Joe Bowers.
Memorial services were held Jan. 15, 2010, at Harvest Church of the Nazarene, Sugarcreek, with Rev. Dwight Mason officiating.
