Harold Bowers obituary

                        
Harold G. “Buff” Bowers Jr., 62, of Sugarcreek, died Jan. 9, 2010, at Wade Park V.A. Hospital, Cleveland, from complications following surgery. Born July 6, 1947, in Lima, Harold was a son of the late Harold G. Sr. and Genevieve Bowers. He was employed as a water conditioning expert with Preferred Pump of Delaware. He attended New Pointe Community Church, Dover, was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was a member of the Mansfield Lions Club and Sugarcreek American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Melonie Bowers, whom he married in 1988; daughter, Nikki Bowers of the home; son, Shawn (Brandy) Bowers, who is serving with the U.S. Army in Bagdad; a granddaughter, Aubrey; sisters, Judy Kill of Memphis, Tenn., and Ginny Burden of Lima; and brother, Doug Bowers of Lima. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Colin; and brother, Joe Bowers. Memorial services were held Jan. 15, 2010, at Harvest Church of the Nazarene, Sugarcreek, with Rev. Dwight Mason officiating.
