Harold Eugene Dague

                        
Harold Eugene Dague, 79 of Dover, formerly of New Philadelphia and Dennison, passed away at Park Village Health Care Center Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 3, 1934 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Calvin and Anna Mary (Heston) Dague. A resident of Tuscarawas County throughout his life, Harold was a member of First Baptist Church in New Philadelphia. He had worked for many years at Starlight Enterprises in their workshop. When Harold lived in New Philadelphia, he enjoyed walking uptown, talking to people, and going to First Town Days, parades and the Tuscarawas County Fair. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and Cavaliers, and also liked to watch NASCAR races. Harold will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara A. and Tom Septer of New Philadelphia; two nephews, Tom Septer, Jr. and his wife, Tina and Tim Septer and his wife, Amy: and great-nephews, Tommy III and Zachary Septer, and Jarrod Durst. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin L. “Butch” Dague with whom he had shared a home for many years. The family would like to thank the nurses and nurses’ aides on side two of Park Village Health Care Center for the wonderful care they gave Harold, as well as the Activities Department, Dr. McFadden and Marci Shutt. They would also like to thank Dr. Maaz Ahmed for providing such wonderful care when Harold was in the hospital over the years. They especially appreciate the New Philadelphia Fire Department for watching over Harold while he lived at home. Services for Harold, officiated by Chaplain David Carrick of the New Philadelphia Fire Department, were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment followed in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends were invited to call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Friday. Those wishing to honor Harold’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so, in lieu of flowers, to the New Philadelphia Fire Department by making a check payable to the “City of New Philadelphia” with a notation in the memo section stating “Harold Dague Memorial Fund,” and mailing it to the New Philadelphia Fire Department, 108 Second Street S.E., New Philadelphia 44663. Memorial donations may also be made to Park Village Health Care Center, 1525 N. Crater Avenue, Dover 44622 with a notation in the memo section indicating that it is a donation for the Activities Department in Harold’s memory.
