James E. Trivette, Sr., age 84 of Orrville and formerly of Tennessee, died Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Smithville Western Care Center in Wooster.

Jim was born May 28, 1933, in Mountain City, Tennessee to the late Russell and Estie (Gentry) Trivette and lived in Wayne County since 1950.

Jim married Inez Dowell on Oct. 28, 1950, in Mountain City, and she preceded him in death in 2016. He was employed as a truck driver for over 40 years, working for Georgia Pacific, Louisiana and Mor-Flow. He also drove for the Amish community.

Jim was a member of the Dalton Baptist Church and loved riding his scooter and going for scenic car trips through Holmes County with his daughter.

Surviving Jim are his sons, Ron (Rebecca) Trivette of Apple Creek, James Trivette of Orrville and Robert (Melissa) Trivette of Shreve; his daughters, Rita (Tom) Balyeat of Massillon and Sue (Alvin) Horst of Orrville; his 13 grandchildren; his many great-grandchildren; his four great-great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Eva Shupe of Mountain City and Norma (Mike) Hall of Smithville.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his grandson, Joshua Trivette; and his brothers, Bernest, Ernest and Justin Trivette.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 23 at 11:30 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, with Rev. Jack Westfall officiating. Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery.
