James G. “Jim” Maullar

                        

James G. “Jim” Maullar, age 69 of Dover, died Sunday, July 29, 2018, in Community Hospice House at New Philadelphia following a lengthy illness.

A son of the late James Byron and Kathryn Elizabeth (Wilson) Maullar, Jim was born March 1, 1949, in Canton.

Jim was a 1967 graduate of Jackson High School and also graduated from Kent State University. He was a local artist who had a true passion for the arts. He was a member of the Tuscarawas County Art Guild, where he formerly served as the president and treasurer.

Jim is survived by his wife, Judith M. (Schneider) Maullar, whom he married on March 30, 1985, in Louisville, Ohio; a son, Christian (Katie) Schneider of Kent; two daughters, Kaitlin (Jason) Pfalzgraf of Canton and Stephanie Maullar of Dover; two granddaughters, Kylie and Lauren Schneider; and a sister, Marci Maullar of Manhattan, Kansas.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, services will be private, and cremation will take place through the care of the Geib Funeral Center at Dover.
